Team Campus is a workspace located within the Watchmaking Campus in Geneva. The project is based on a two-level layout, which connects to the courtyards that structure the building’s architecture. Our concept focuses on creating a central element that adds color and visual continuity, establishing a spatial link between the courtyards.
This central volume structures the sequence of spaces and becomes a multifunctional element that integrates lockers, storage, a cloakroom, a coffee area, decorative displays, planters, and a seating zone. The succession of different uses creates an interplay of interwoven volumes, allowing beauty and functionality to coexist in harmony.
The volume features openings that reinforce visual connections, while its materiality, composed of perforated panels, generates a sense of transparency, defining areas without fully isolating them.
Color is concentrated in the central element, creating a strong contrast with the neutral tones of the environment, visually emphasizing the importance of this piece as the space’s defining element.
The design plays with the contrast between textures, achieving visual harmony within a cohesive architectural language. Natural materials are combined with technological elements to create a balance between the industrial and the organic, resulting in spaces where technology and warmth coexist fluidly. A custom-designed phone booth in a terracotta tone contrasts with the neutral colors of the space, creating an immersive and warm environment.
The restroom concept is designed to offer an immersive experience, where the materiality, blue-toned volumes, and lighting create an atmosphere distinct from the rest of the space.
To maintain a connection with the overall project, details in terracotta and stainless steel are incorporated. The project has been conceived to preserve a technological aesthetic without losing its connection to the surrounding nature.
This design reflects a carefully achieved balance between functionality, materiality, and aesthetics, creating a sophisticated and cohesive atmosphere where every element contributes to the overall spatial experience.
